Super tasty German cuisine, fantastic carp, cheap and highly recommended.

Restaurant with home-style Franconian cuisine. Very friendly and brisk service, very good food (freshness, taste, arrangement, portion size), glasses full over the calibration mark, everything at a reasonable price. We had the rump steak and the pikeperch fillet, all very tasty. Even if the building facade could use a little attention, the really important aspects, which are important in a restaurant, are fully met. The "Golden Eagle", highly recommended from our point of view.

The food was very tasty but the portions of the carp fillet were quite small. For normal hunger, the soup is also recommended. Unfortunately no continuous heat kitchen.

Top ambience in Franconian style. Franconian sauerbraten eaten very well, a little soup beforehand. My better half had eagle spies with grill vegetables and a salad beforehand. Everything is prepared very well. Price / offer: Very good

Just amazing. Typical Franconian inn with top-notch cuisine, extremely friendly staff and a super nice boss. Keep it up so that we can visit you often! Whether sirloin with pepper sauce, sauerbraten or just schnitzel with fries, everything is very good.

Dear Sir or Madam, Today we were with the children in the inn "Goldener Adler", family Gerhäußer in Bad Windsheim. We were warmly welcomed at the door and got a nice seat inside. The dark beer and the cloudy beer were very tasty. The hospital plate (grill plate) was one of the best grill plates I have ever eaten and believe me, I have eaten many. 😉 Duet pikeperch and salmon was also terrific. Special requests for meals for the children were dealt with and in the end both were given gummy bears. It was a thoroughly successful dinner. Many thanks dear family Gerhäusers. Should we ever be in the area, we would be happy to come back. All the best!

I honestly wasn't expecting much, but was absolutely blown away by how good the food was. Highly, highly recommend. Edited because I ate here again. Cannot stress enough how amazing this place is! Very much a hidden gem of food. They're a great mix of traditional food with a twist of modern flavor. The apple rings are spectacular. Will definitely return.

Home-style Franconian cuisine, friendly service, good food. When we are in Bad Windsheim we always eat there. It is recommended to reserve a table.

Steaks are very good. Apfel kugel is fried Apple rings with cinnamon sugar are amazing. Staff is very nice, speak English.

A wonderful traditional Frankonian restaurant by the same family (Gerhaeuser) for over 130 years. But not stuffy like you'd expect for a place having such a long history. Popular with the local inhabitants The owners make it comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and much more attentive than most German restaurants. Basic local fare done well in very generous portions and at very reasonable prices.
